FAQ
HOW DO I CLEAN MY ECOVESSEL?
Very easily. We recommend warm, soapy water and air drying. If you feel that your bottle needs a more thorough cleaning, wash it with diluted vinegar or baking soda and water and use a bottle brush. Please do not use bleach or chlorine cleansers since the naturally protective finish of stainless steel can be damaged by these. We advise hand washing all insulated bottles.
CAN I PUT MY ECOVESSEL IN A MICROWAVE?
No! Stainless steel bottles are not microwave safe.
WHAT TYPES OF BEVERAGES CAN I PUT IN MY ECOVESSEL?
Just about anything - from water to chocolate milk and from beer to wine. Most of our insulated bottles can be used for hot drinks as well as cold. Please read the individual descriptions on our website for detailed use information. Care and use information is also provided inside every product or on a hangtag. If you don't have this information, please contact EcoVessel.
WHERE ARE YOUR PRODUCTS MADE?
With the exception of some parts, our products are manufactured in China. We use very responsible facilities where there is respect for the workers and the environment and we visit them on a regular basis to ensure their compliance with our high standards. All of our bottles are made with premium quality, food grade stainless steel - the same kind many people use for eating and cooking. All of our products are designed and prototyped in Boulder, Colorado and warehoused in Denver.
WHAT MATERIALS ARE USED TO MAKE YOUR PRODUCTS?
Our stainless steel bottles and containers are made using only 18/8 stainless steel, the same material that is used for most high quality food utensils and cookware. Further, because stainless steel is proven to be such a safe material, there is no liner or coating on the inside of any of our stainless steel bottles. All of our paint is non-toxic. Any plastic that is used does not contain BPA or phthalates The silicone used to create the collapsible food containers, the spouts on our adult flip tops, spouts on baby sippy bottles, tops on GOBBLE N GO snack cups and all drinking straws are made from food grade silicone. The SCOUT and FROST bottles use a TPR spout that is kid-safe and eco-friendly. TPR stands for for Thermoplastic Rubber (also known as Thermoplastic Elastomer, or TPE). It is a mix of rubber and plastic polymers that is highly resistant to biting, chewing, heat, and bending. Like silicone and stainless steel, TPR is recyclable and does not contain leaching chemicals that would contaminate your water. We chose it as the spout for our kids' bottles for its properties of safety and durability. Our products undergo rigorous independent testing and meet or exceed FDA and Consumer Product Safety Commission standards, in addition to rigorous European standards.
DO YOUR PRODUCTS CONTAIN LEAD?
One of the key features of the Ecovessel Trimax® products is our vacuum insulation technology, which provides consumers with drinkware that keeps beverages at their ideal temperatures. Industry-standard manufacturing processes for stainless steel vacuum bottles and food jars currently employ a lead-containing pellet to seal the vacuum insulation at the base of our bottle. Once sealed, this area is covered with a durable cover, making it inaccessible to consumers. No lead is present on the surface of any Ecovessel product that comes into contact with the consumer nor with the contents of the bottle or jar. If the base cap of the product comes off due to ordinary use and exposes this seal, it is eligible for our Lifetime Warranty, please contact customer service: info@o2cbrands.com.
O2C Brands assures that its products meet all US regulatory requirements including California Proposition 65. O2C Brands tests for and validates compliance on all food and beverage storage products through FDA accredited 3rd party labs that verify our products follow strict guidelines including but not limited to BPA/BPS, PFOS, GRAS, and phthalate regulatory requirements.
